Western Cup is the longest-running 2SLGBTIA+ multi-sport tournament in North America. Our group is proud to host the YYC PrideFit Throwdown portion of this historic event.
We offer Intermediate and Advanced divisions for mixed Teams of Three.
Our primary goal is to build a stronger community. Come connect with old friends, make new ones, and celebrate queer joy through fitness.
Western Cup hosts legendary events like the Saturday Night Dance. Tickets are NOT included and must be purchased separately.

YYCPrideFit connects the 2SLGBTIA+ community with functional fitness in Calgary. We help individuals find inclusive spaces to train (like F45®, HYROX®, or CrossFit®) and assist gyms in becoming more welcoming to queer athletes.
No. We are an advocacy group supporting 2SLGBTIA+ individuals within the functional fitness community, not a physical gym.
It is a 5-workout fitness competition held during Western Cup 42.
Very inclusive. Movements are not gendered; athletes choose weights and standards based on their individual abilities.
Workouts will be announced here soon.
Think "Scaled" vs. "Rx" in the CrossFit® Open. Intermediate uses lighter weights and more accessible movements, while Advanced features heavier loads and higher-skill gymnastics. Judging follows CrossFit® standards.
Absolutely. Allies are welcome but must respect that this is a queer-centered event.

No. You can register as a "Free Agent" ($150) to be placed on a team, or as a full Team of 3 ($450).
No. Registration covers the competition and t-shirt only. Social event tickets must be purchased separately at Western Cup.

No. While water will be available onsite, athletes and spectators are expected to eat meals elsewhere. Small snacks are permitted, but please do not bring full meals. Alcohol and drugs (including cannabis) are strictly prohibited; anyone found in possession will be asked to leave.
